The 3D Render Daemon ::: The REALSOFT 3D Resource website

Real3D had a tool called the Fractal Tree Generator. Using some basic set parameters, some pretty realistic trees were achievable. Realsoft 3D unfortunately does not have this tool included in its toolset :( It does have a Tree Generator used to randomise NURBS curves - but it not really of any use for creating real Trees. There was talk of Vesa upgrading this tool though - fingers crossed.
These models here are generally loaded in from Real3D, But a few use clip maps to create a "fake" tree (2D) vs a true 3D tree:
